A week back, we reported the possible pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 series in India and now, the company has put the 8-inch and 10.1-inch models up its website along with official retail tags. The 7-inch version, however, is still a no show and we’ve got no information on how much it costs.
The previous report noted that the 3G enabled 8-inch model will retail for Rs 23,990, while the 10.1-inch version should sell for Rs 29,999. The official amounts are pretty close to these prices. The base version will sell for Rs 23,960 with the large model tagged at Rs 30,498. Where the 7-inch model is concerned, the company still has two previous slates in that category on sale, the Rs 12,740 Tab 3 Neo and the Rs 18,150 Tab 3 211. So either the latter device will get a price cut or we might see the latest tablet get delayed.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 series is a decent upgrade over the previous generation slates. The designs have been slightly tweaked and the hardware has been improved. Each tablet offers an HD display, a quad core processor and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box along with TouchWiz and its accompanying enhancements. The 8-inch and 10.1-inch models share the same features, expect for the battery capacity which is 4450mAh and 6800mAh, respectively.
Here are the common specs:
– OS: Android 4.4 KitKat
– Display: 1280 x 800 LCD
– Processor: 1.2GHz quad core
– RAM: 1.5GB
– Storage: 16GB internal, 64GB expandable
