People buy TVs and therefore companies like Samsung launch them now and again. Samsung India recently announced its oddly named #funbelievable Series of television sets that are priced starting from Rs 12,990 or around $173, which makes them cheaper than your average Android phone.
The Samsung #funbelievable TV range is a mix of Smart TVs and an idiot box (pun intended, sorry). The details are rather thin on the ground right now. What we know for sure are that they will offer a Personal Computer Mode for letting users easily transform them into a PC for browsing the web and working on presentations and so on from the cloud.
The TVs also allow for wireless screen mirroring of your notebook without the need for an Internet connection. Another handy feature is Remote Access which, well, enables remote access to your computer or laptop.
Users will be able to stream content through Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and VOOT, as well as access a ‘Content Guide’ for curated entertainment. Samsung has mentioned ‘Make in India’ innovations for the range without specifying what these may be, though we’re fairly certain none of these TVs can make curd.
The Samsung #funbelievable Series comes in 32-inch and 43-inch Smart TV versions. If you don’t really care for a Smart TV, then you can get the non-smart variant in the new range with a 32-inch screen. They’re set to be made available soon online and offline.
The company’s even throwing in 2 years of warranty with these #funbelievable TVs. The exact prices for each model in the series haven’t been disclosed.
