Making yet another case for kitchen tablets is the new Samsung Galaxy View which is still to be officially unveiled but has gone up on pre-order already. We have also come to know that the slate won’t be a cheap affair by any means, as it is being offered at a price of $599.
The Samsung Galaxy View can be classified under the nascent ‘kitchen tablet’ category. It is meant to be interacted with on the kitchen counter, and hence comes with a large display and a stand. The panel on this baby is a whopping 18.4 inches in size.
But the Galaxy View showcases its visuals in 1080p full HD resolution, which brings the pixel density count to meager 120ppi. This large device is powered by a 1.6GHz octa core Exynos 7580 processor which is accompanied by 2GB worth of RAM.
It’s an Android Lollipop tablet which ships with 32GB of storage space that can be expanded further up to 128GB by means of its microSD card slot. Samsung has slipped into its body a 5700mAh battery which promises 8.5 hours of continuous video playback. This slate does not feature a rear camera for obvious reasons, but it does grab a 2.1MP front snapper for video calling.
