It’s not a huge surprise, but it’s a surprise nonetheless that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S is apparently slated to go on pre-order just one day after its unveiling. This upcoming ultra-powerful tablet should be launched at an event in New York on June 12.
The leak about its release date has come via EvLeaks who has chanced upon a document created by a particular retailer. It says that this seller will be among a ‘few select’ to start offering the Galaxy Tab S on June 13.
Although there’s no clarity of this matter at the moment, it can be assumed that both the 8.4-inch and the 10.5-inch models of the slate will be made available on the above mentioned date. Powered by Android 4.4.2 KitKat, these new Tab S models will be sporting 2K displays of 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution.
Here’s a brief look at the specs of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S:
– 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch 2560 x 1600p displays
– Android 4.4.2 KitKat
– Exynos 5 Octa SoC
– ARM Mali T628 graphics
– 3GB RAM, 32GB storage
– 8MP rear, 2MP front
They will supposedly be running on octa core Exynos 5 Octa SoCs and could grab 3GB worth of RAM and 32GB of stock storage, aside from a microSD card slot. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S range is believed to have been equipped with an 8MP main camera and a 2MP front facing snapper.
Hopefuls waiting to lay their hands on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S will be pleased if it hits stores on June 13, but confirmation on this can only be had when there’s something official out. Wait for a few more days to get a clear idea on all things.
