Samsung’s S5 models make the headlines almost every day with leaks and rumors, but let’s not forget that the company is also working on the Galaxy Tab S series which has now been priced in Finland. Additionally, a retailer has disclosed that the new devices are expected to be in stock early June.
This particular range from Samsung is unique. While the company has designed multiple slates with 2K displays, the upcoming ones will be the first to sport 2K AMOLED panels. The Droid Guy has spotted the tablets at Finnish retailer Multitronic where the 8.4-inch and 10.6-inch models have been priced. Both models are said to cost more than their Tab Pro counterparts, probably due to the AMOLED panel and fingerprint reader being onboard.
The 8.4-inch Wi-Fi version is tagged at €449.90, while the 4G model is €563.90. For comparison’s sake, the 8.4-inch Tab Pro slate costs around €399 and €519, respectively. Coming to the 10.5-inch Tab S, the basic option will set you back by €563.90 with the cellular variant tagged at €681.90. Where specs are concerned, we know that the Wi-Fi models will have octa core Exynos chips and there are no details whether the company will opt for the Snapdragon 801 SOC for the LTE variants.
Here are the leaked specs:
– Display: 2560 x 1600p AMOLED panel
– OS: Android 4.4 KitKat
– Camera: 8MP rear, 2.1MP front
– Security: Fingerprint reader
– Chipset: Exynos 5420 Octa
