Samsung Mobile India has started teasing the impending launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S series which recently went on sale in the US. The new lineup comprises of two high-end tablets carrying 2K displays and various other features including lightweight and super slim designs.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S series comes in 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch models. Both are just 6.6mm thick and feature the traditional design seen on most tablets from the South Korean conglomerate. Unlike the Tab Pro series which for some reason skipped India, the new additions come with WQHD Super AMOLED panels and not TFT LCD screens.

Each tablet comes in two models, one with an Exynos processor and the other with a Snapdragon 801 chip designed for LTE markets. Sticking to tradition, Samsung might launch the former devices in the country which share almost identical specs, expect for the batter capacity which is 4900mAh for the 8.4-inch version and 7900mAh for the 10.5-inch variant.

The high-end tablet duo from Samsung isn’t the only big players invading India. Sony’s India Twitter account has also been teasing the upcoming launch of its Xperia Z2 Tablet which offers a FHD display and a 6.4mm water-proof design along with various high-end features.
Judging by the posts on Samsung Mobile India’s Twitter account, we could see the Galaxy Tab S series go official today itself or in the next few days, so stay tuned for an update.
