Everything tech is clearly not making its presence felt merely at the CES 2012 currently, with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 having gone live in India just yesterday. The next generation tablet comes with a 1.2GHz dual core processor and the Android 3.2 OS.
Also going by the moniker Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, the 9.9mm thick device flaunts a lightweight form factor and a flexible design which makes it convenient to carry whilst on the go. The tablet weighs 345 grams and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor for an enhanced web browsing and application experience. For connectivity, it supports HSPA+ network bands and Wi-Fi b/g/n standards. Employed over the Honeycomb platform is the TouchWiz UX that sports a number of new features and handy tweaks.
“Tablets are uniquely positioned to offer consumers an enhanced converged communications experience and enable them to manage their work and life while on the move. The Galaxy Tab 620 with its powerful processor, next generation OS, stylish design and intelligent value added applications make this a faster, lighter and smarter device,” commented Ranjit Yadav, Country Head, Mobile and IT, Samsung India.
Business is apparently not the only thing the company had in mind whilst developing this tablet. Users can watch videos hoarded in the on-board storage and the SD card slot on a larger screen by streaming content over Wi-Fi with the DLNA certification. What’s more, the Universal Remote Control application allows for operation of almost any home entertainment system with the built-in IR LED system.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 620 price in India amounts to Rs. 30,250 and it will be available in color options of metallic gray or snow silver.
