Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 hits Verizon tomorrow for $379.99

Verizon has announced that it plans to carry the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and will be offering the device to customers starting tomorrow. The slate is priced at $379.99 which is quite steep and will obviously be accompanied by a 2-year contract.

Verizon is touting the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 as a family tablet by highlighting its Multi-User feature which allows creation of multiple accounts for different people, allowing them to arrange apps to their liking and also set a custom wallpaper, a password and more. Well, this capability is present on most tablets running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and above. The carrier is also promoting the device for family entertainment by leveraging the capabilities of the preloaded WatchON app.

You’ll also find Multi Window and other exclusive TouchWiz enhancements onboard. Apart from this, the slate is XLTE-ready which means that it can connect to Verizon’s faster AWS data network. As the name suggests, the tablet spans 8 inches wide and it offers visuals in 1280 x 800p HD resolution. The device comes with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and it’s powered by a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon processor.
