Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 press images are upon us

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab 4 series has been in the rumor mill for quite some time and we’ve finally gotten a glimpse at what the 7-inch model will look like. Press renders of the tablet have made it online, courtesy of EvLeaks, and to no surprise, the device looks quite similar to the latest flagship smartphone.

Well, Samsung has made a few changes to the design. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will have harder curves and a small silver bezel running along the sides. The tablet also looks to be pretty slim, but it’s hard to tell the exact width. We can also confirm that the slate will arrive in white and black options. The main improvements will be visible in the hardware department. The company will finally move on from dual core processors to quad core chips for its affordable tablet range.

The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will have a 1.2GHz SOC of unknown make, albeit we’re expecting to see a Snapdragon 400 module onboard considering that Samsung is most likely to offer 4G LTE connectivity. The company might also bump the display resolution to 1280 x 800p from the current WSVGA panels. There isn’t much information on the 7-inch model, but we do know that the 10.1 and 8.0 variants will have 16GB of internal storage, microSD card support and Android 4.4 KitKat with the latest version of TouchWiz.

Samsung has already confirmed the existence of the Galaxy Tab 4 series through its own website and the 8-inch as well as 10.1-inch models have already been certified by the FCC. It’s just a matter of time before the new range goes official.
