Along with 2 new Galaxy Players, the official Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 price and availability details have finally surfaced. These devices will be up for purchase through retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, Tiger Direct and many others.
Available in 10.1-inch and 7-inch variants, the additions to the Galaxy Tab series come with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS right out of the box. And being Google certified, they also have access to over 450,000 apps, movies and TV shows through the Google Play store or the Media Hub.
“These new Galaxy Tab 2 and Galaxy Player devices deliver what consumers have come to expect from all Samsung products – exceptional design, impressive connectivity options and a selection of choices for each type of person and user scenario,” commented Tim Baxter, President, Samsung Electronics America. “A one size fits all solution is just not sufficient.”
The 2 latest arrivals for the Galaxy Players lineup comprise of 4.2-inch and 3.6-inch versions equipped with WVGA and HVGA resolution displays, respectively. Both gadgets are powered by the Android Gingerbread OS and feature Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity as well as a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The former device also incorporates dual stereo speakers for an enriched audio experience.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 price and availability details are officially disclosed. The Galaxy Tab 2 7 can now be pre-ordered for a price of $249.99 and it should start shipping on April 22. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Galaxy Player 4.2 will be up for pre-order on May 4 for a price of $399.99 and $199.99, respectively, while the Galaxy Player 3.6 can be purchased for $149.99 today. The former 2 devices are expected to hit shelves on May 13, 2012.
