The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, the next-generation tablet from the South Korean manufacturer has gone up for sale in the UK. It can now be picked up in shades of white and silver from various retailers like Clove, Expansys and Carphone Warehouse.
This slate runs the Ice Cream Sandwich platform and acquires the ability to launch multiple applications at the same time from 1GB RAM and a dual core processor that ticks at 1GHz. A 10.1-inch HD WXGA display rests on the front panel of the device and it can render visuals in a 1280 x 800p resolution. Moreover, it tags along dual surround sound speakers and a 3MP rear-facing camera.
Although the Tab 2 comes in variants featuring 16GB and 32GB onboard storage, it has an expansion slot for a microSD card of up to 32GB capacity. This Wi-Fi- and Bluetooth-enabled slab is also armed with a 0.3MP webcam for video calling purposes and a 7000mAh battery to power it up. It sports a 3.5mm headphone jack for establishing connections with various audio peripherals.
The 16GB Wi-Fi only variant can now be grabbed for £316.80, £299.99 or £314.99 from Clove, Carphone Warehouse or Expansys, respectively. The 16GB Wi-Fi + 3G tablet carries a price tag of £418.80 through Clove and £399.99 at the other two e-retailers. Interested users will have to shell out £359.99 for the 32GB Wi-Fi model and £459.99 for the 32GB Wi-Fi + 3G version which are slated to go up for purchase through Expansys very soon.
Carphone Warehouse is expected to stock up on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 from August 22, while it is already shipping through Clove and Expansys.
