Yet another leak regarding the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus has arrived, this time centering on the various colors and cost of the devices. The two have popped up on a Ukrainian retailer’s database with its names and model numbers.
As per the page, the Galaxy S8 will have a RRP (Recommended Retail Price) of UAH 25999 (roughly $960 or Rs 64500). The Galaxy S8 Plus could go even higher at an RRP of UAH 28999 (approx $1070 or Rs 72000). The figures are in line with previous reports about the two being about $100 more expensive than its predecessors.
The listing also reveals that Samsung could sell the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus in black, orchid gray, and gold color options. A separate leak has brought to light the company’s move to trademark the name Bixby Reminder in Europe, coming not long after it copyrighted Bixby Pay and Bixby Vision.

There aren’t any details about what exactly Bixby Reminder does. SamMobile suggests that it might be used to handle calendar appointments via voice commands. The AI assistant was previously believed to be based on Viv Labs’ technology, but rumors now claim that it’ll be based on Samsung’s own S Voice.
One of the key things Samsung will have to do to win back consumer trust is prove that it’s taken meaningful steps to prevent a Note 7-scale disaster from happening again. The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that the brand has roped in Sony as one of the firms to make the Galaxy S8’s battery, with the others being Samsung SDI and Murata Manufacturing.
