Samsung’s next Galaxy S8 has been leaked yet again, this time in the form of a tweet by the usually reliable leakster Evan Blass. The photo he posted showcases a detailed specs list for the Plus variant of the phone.
The features seen in the leak match up to previous Galaxy S8 Plus rumors for the most part. The phablet might measure 6.2-inch when taking its full rectangle shape into account or 6.1-inch when narrowing it down to its rounded corners. The screen may boast of a Super AMOLED QHD resolution, par for the course for Samsung’s flagships.
One entry which jumps out is the earphones which are tuned by Austrian firm AKG, a previously unheard-of inclusion. Samsung is probably going to stick with a 3.5mm headphone jack, going against recent trends by other manufacturers like Apple and HTC.

Other specs which might be making their way to the Galaxy S8 include 64GB of expandable storage, 4GB of RAM, 4G LTE support, and an iris scanner. The last one is being carried over from the Galaxy Note 7 and will likely accompany the standard fingerprint reader option. There’s also mention of Android OS without specifying which version, though all signs point to Nougat.
Samsung is likely going to equip the smartphone with the same IP68 certification against dust and water the Galaxy S7 series got. Another common feature is the 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera. However, it looks like the selfie snapper’s gotten upgraded to 8MP from the previous variant’s 5MP.
The specs rundown also confirms that the Galaxy S8 Plus is set to have Samsung Knox and Pay support, in addition to wireless charging abilities via a pad sold separately.
