Samsung Galaxy S8+ gets another price cut

Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung India has slashed the price of the Galaxy S8+, the second time it’s done so since the phone’s debut in the country. Once again, only the 128GB of ROM and 6GB of RAM variant will be getting cheaper.

To recap, the 128GB/6GB Galaxy S8+ first hit India back in June this year at Rs 74900. It then got a discount down to Rs 70900 in July. Completing this hat-trick is a new Rs 65900 cost. Overall, the handset has gotten Rs 9000 more affordable than before.

This might be the push the premium Galaxy S8+ model needs to get more units in the hands of buyers. Plus, the cut also means that it won’t be directly competing with the Galaxy Note 8 when it lands in India. That particular handset costs $930 (roughly Rs 59580) and is expected to cross the Rs 70000 mark in the country.

Interestingly enough, the 128GB/6GB Galaxy S8+ is now only a slightly bit more expensive than the 64GB/4GB Galaxy S8+ which goes for Rs 64900. The former comes across as a lot more attractive in that light considering a person would get double the memory and 2GB more RAM at Rs 1000 more.
