Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have officially landed in India a couple of weeks after the two hit the scene internationally. The handsets will arrive in stores on May 5 and are now up for pre-orders via Flipkart, the brand’s e-store, and offline outlets.
Interested buyers will have to set aside Rs 57900 for the Galaxy S8 or Rs 64900 for the Galaxy S8 Plus. The figures are significantly higher than the lowest US price tags of $720 (approx Rs 46700) and $840 (around Rs 54500), respectively. Like before, Samsung has brought the Exynos 8895-running variant to India rather than the Snapdragon 835 one.
Early birds who pre-book the handset before May 4 will get a free Convertible Wireless Charger worth Rs 3499. They can also take advantage of a Reliance Jio Double Data offer that requires them to commit to a monthly recharge of Rs 309 in order to get 448 GB of 4G data distributed over the course of 8 months.
