Leaks of the Samsung Galaxy S7 have been ramping up recently in the build-up to its expected launch in February. So far, rumors have revealed almost all aspects of the device including that it sports a very similar appearance to its predecessor. A new report now confirms this with what appears to be press renders of the handset.
To recollect, a leak earlier this month had brought out a number of key specs of the Samsung Galaxy S7 including its water resistance and microSD slot. That article has now been updated with a new photo which depicts the flat and Edge variants of the smartphone. The images look pretty authentic and are in line with what has been seen and heard of the phone so far.
Still, all reports about the Galaxy S7 are speculative at this point and as such the pictures should be viewed with a grain of salt. The renders were published by perennial leakster Evan Blass on VentureBeat, who also took to his Twitter handle to publish a separate photo of the upcoming handset (see below).
Based on the images, the Samsung offering looks an awful lot like the Apple iPhone. The brand may even be introducing a pressure-sensitive 3D Touch-like screen for the smartphone. Overall, the manufacturer appears to have retained the core S6 series design.

Previous speculation had hinted that instead of making big changes to the style of its future flagship phone, Samsung may instead revamp the device’s innards. This might be incorporated in the form of bigger batteries, a 12MP BRITECELL camera, a hybrid dual-SIM slot, and either a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processor.
Keep tuning in for more on the Samsung Galaxy S7 up until its official launch.
