Samsung is reportedly working on the Galaxy S5 Neo smartphone as well, in addition to the upcoming S5 Active, S5 mini, S5 Prime and S5 Crystal Collection as well as the recently launched K Zoom (read S5 Zoom). So what’s the main purpose of this new version? Well, it looks like the company could be planning to offer a cheaper model of its flagship, but with high-end specs.
Samsung could have followed Sony’s footsteps and designed the S5 mini to be a no compromise mid-range flagship, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. The Galaxy S5 Neo will come with a 5.1-inch screen which is the same size as the flagship’s, but the resolution has been reduced to 720p HD. Apart from this, we know that the device will feature a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor.
SamMobile is reporting that the alleged Galaxy S5 Neo is apparently the SM-G750 which was leaked back in March and was mistaken for the S5 mini. The new details of the phone come via GalaxyClub.nl that spotted the device on a Zauba shipping list making its way to India for testing and evaluation. Also, multiple variants of the phone were identified. The G750A is said to be headed to AT&T, while the SM-G750H model is most likely to be designed for the international market. The G750F was also spotted and it could be destined for Europe.
That’s all the information we’ve got on the Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo. We expect more details to crop up soon, so stay tuned.
