We haven’t heard from the Galaxy S4 Zoom in quite a long time, but it looks like the device might finally make its debut stateside. Samsung’s latest smartphone-camera combo has been tipped to arrive through AT&T which also carried the 3G enabled Galaxy Camera last year.
The famous @evleaks is behind the latest revelation and has also posted a press render of the device. While there’s no AT&T branding visible on the body, the interface shows the phone running on its network and a couple of carrier-specific applications are also present. The downside here is that no launch date has been provided and how much it will retail for is anyone’s guess.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom has been available in various locations for a few months now, including India where it’s tagged at Rs 29,900. The device is essentially the S4 mini that’s clubbed together with a large imaging sensor. It sports a 16MP BSI CMOS camera with OIS on the rear and a xenon flash. The main highlight here is that the device is capable of delivering up to 10x optical zoom. On AT&T, the S4 Zoom will compete against the mighty Lumia 1020 smartphone which has a 41MP camera and PureView technology.
The handset runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and it comes with the same enhancements found on the flagship along with certain camera-focused software. Where specifications are concerned, the device has a 1.9MP webcam, a 4.3-inch qHD AMOLED touchscreen, a dual core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and a 2330mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is currently available for purchase through Negri Electronics at $469.50 unlocked.
