Barclaycard Orange Quick Tap

Barclaycard and Orange have officially crowned the Samsung Galaxy S3 handset as the first Quick Tap Android smartphone. Tagged with the line, ‘no cards, no cash. Just tap and you’ve paid,’ this interesting functionality will soon be extended to new as well as upgrading Orange Samsung Galaxy S3 owners who wield UK Visa and MasterCard cards.

These individuals will be able to take complete advantage of the Quick Tap service directly through their portable Android-powered devices. Through this technology, they can make mobile contactless payments from anywhere around the nation. However, this feature doesn’t hit the Samsung smartphone until tomorrow, so eager beavers will have to wait a bit longer.

Starting tomorrow, secure contactless payments of up to £20 can be made with ease. All device owners have to do is download the application, activate the Barclaycard service and simply tap their handset against allotted payment terminals strewn all around the country. What’s more, any consumer who avails of this attribute from September 5 to October 5, 2012, is entitled to obtain a sum of £50 from Orange.
