Samsung Galaxy S2 T-Mobile hits Walmart with no annual contract restrictions

The Samsung Galaxy S2 T-Mobile is now available in the US as a no annual contract device being offered through Walmart. This means, the older cousin of the S3 can be bought by consumers at $299 with Monthly4G plans starting at $30 per month.

Recently, Boost Mobile also announced a similar plan for the same handset, pegging its price at $369.99. The basic Monthly4G plan which T-Mobile has in store costs $30 per month, and offers unlimited web at 4G speeds for usage up to 5GB. Moreover, it even features unlimited text, 100 minutes of talk and 10 cents per minute after the first 100 minutes. And this plan can be activated by users without having to abide by any annual contracts, or having to submits checks and deposits.

Besides, the Walmart Family Mobile service is also offering a monthly, no-annual-contract wireless plan, which will run on T-Mobile’s network. Dubbed the Walmart Family Mobile Unlimited Talk, Text and Web plan, it costs $45 per month for the first line and $35 per month for any additional lines.

Released for the first time in February last year, the S2 handset from Samsung is kicks in a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor and runs the Android Gingerbread OS. An 8MP rear camera with flash, a 2MP front snapper, 1080p HD video capturing capabilities and a 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus WVGA touchscreen are some of its other attributes.
