The Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G T-Mobile smartphone is yet another addition to the expanding Galaxy lineup running on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform. The South Korean conglomerate has made this device business-ready through SAFE-certification and a wide catalog of enterprise features, not to mention a 5-row QWERTY keyboard.

A 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor is employed to do all the heavy lifting, while the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform is displayed through a 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen. Business users will have access to the carrier’s 4G HSPA+ network that’s said to deliver up to 42Mbps of downlink speeds. To top it off, a host of MDM tools are incorporated in this device including AES 256-bit encryption and Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync amongst others.

“Consumers are increasingly looking for a powerful device that makes it easy to integrate their busy work and personal lives,” expressed Andrew Morrison, vice president of product management, T-Mobile USA. “The Galaxy S Relay 4G is the perfect addition to T-Mobile’s popular Galaxy smartphone lineup, providing our customers with a reliable and business-centric Android experience — and the easy access to entertainment for which Galaxy devices are known.”

In addition to the aforementioned business-oriented features, the company has thrown in Wi-Fi calling support and Mobile Hotspot that allows users to share their data connection with up to five devices. This T-Mobile-exclusive handset isn’t all about work and no play. Entertainment needs are catered to by a 5MP rear camera with HD recording, T-Mobile TV for live video streaming, the Samsung Media Hub and Google Play Music.

The Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G T-Mobile price hasn’t been specified as yet. The carrier states that the device’s release date should fall sometime during the coming weeks through various retail stores and online.
