Samsung Galaxy S III India pre-orders have already kicked off on the company’s official page for the said country. At the same time, we’re nowhere close to guessing the exact release date for the smartphone in this region since Samsung has not exactly been very obliging with the details.
According to an unconfirmed story we reported in early May, the device is expected to hit the country in the first half of June. The tag attached to it is rumored to be marked at Rs. 38,000 MRP. Unfortunately, we cannot be sure of the Samsung Galaxy S III India price as yet since the pre-booking amount asked for on the pre-order page is only Rs. 2,000. Along with the choice to reserve the phone in marble white or pebble blue shades, the company is also promising to bundle a free Bluetooth headset into the package.
Samsung has decided to limit the number of units that can be ordered per person to just 4 and shipping is free. There’s also a ‘Notify Me’ tab for those who still aren’t sure about wanting to lay hands on the smartphone. And fans may find reason for balancing on teetering feet over this decision after reading through the involved T&C. The terms clearly state that once placed, pre-orders cannot be cancelled.
Running through the key tech specs of the new Galaxy S, the handset has a 4.8-inch touchscreen stretched across its front panel and a 1.4GHz quad core Exynos Quad processor under the hood. It packs in the Ice Cream Sandwich OS and sports two cameras – an 8MP main snapper and a 1.9MP front-facing one. The device will initially be available in 16GB and 32GB versions, with a 64GB one in the works.
Samsung Galaxy S III India pre-orders are being accepted through the company’s official website. At present a ‘Not In Stock’ sign has been hung up on the pre-booking page.
