Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy On8 (2018) in India, hoping to attract buyers by offering a large Infinity Display and dual cameras at a budget price tag. It’s the sequel to the original which came out all the way back in 2016.

The Galaxy On8 (2018) will burn a Rs 16990-sized hole in your pocket. For that much, you’ll be getting a 6-inch HD+ screen fitted with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. There are thick black bars at the top and bottom, so the panel doesn’t go quite as extreme as Samsung’s flagships when it comes to bezels.

Behind the scenes, you’ll find artificial intelligence powering the Galaxy On8 (2018)’s 16MP f/1.7 + 5MP f/1.9 dual shooters. The presence of AI allows for features like Background Blur Shape, Portrait Dolly, and Portrait Backdrop.

Background Blur Shape adds a soft light in different shapes. Portrait Dolly allows for animated GIF images with zoom movements in the background. Portrait Backdrop lets you add preset background effects. As for the Samsung device‘s selfies, this duty is taken up by a 16MP f/1.9 lens. It’s been paired with LED flash to provide some light in the dark.
