The Galaxy Note 9’s first press render just got leaked and it’s now time for the phone’s price and release date to come out in the open as well. Samsung has already confirmed that the launch event for the smartphone is taking place on August 9 in New York, but no one knows for sure just how much the device will cost or when it’ll hit stores.

According to a Polish site called Spider’s Web, the Galaxy Note 9 will set buyers back PLN 4299 (approx $1157/€993/Rs 79330) for its 6GB/128GB model. Apparently, a Samsung employee who saw the device at a company training session got in touch with the publication.

The website later verified this rate with a local Samsung Brand Store which is taking advanced payments for the Galaxy Note 9. The same source above claims that the handset will reach consumers on August 24 and pre-orders will begin on August 9, the same day as its unveiling.

The numbers are a bit different from the Galaxy Note 8, but not by much in Europe’s case. The older handset cost $929 in the US, €999 in Europe, and Rs 67900 when it was launched in each country. The rate will vary market to market though, so the leaked price can’t be taken at face value.

The Galaxy Note 9 isn’t expected to be a huge update in terms of design since it looks just like its predecessor. The major change might be in its rear layout since the fingerprint scanner is moving below the camera module instead of lying besides it.

The S Pen is said to be getting a refresh as well, with some saying it’ll come with Bluetooth support. The stylus was notably the focus of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 launch invite, so it’ll probably be a big talking point at the occasion.
