Samsung Galaxy Note 9 press render leaked

Samsung Galaxy Note 9

The Galaxy Note 9’s launch is just about a month away, making it the perfect time for a new leak to reveal just what the phone is going to look like. We haven’t seen many high-quality renders of the device and the one above is supposed to be an official press image.

It was provided to Android Headlines by a reliable source. It looks pretty authentic at first glance, neatly falling in line with previous speculation. Of course, this is easy enough to replicate since rumors have alleged that the Galaxy Note 9 will be identical to the Galaxy Note 8 in terms of design.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Changes

It would honestly be difficult for anyone to tell the two Samsung smartphones apart. Some say the bottom bezel is a bit narrower and the corners are somewhat more curved. Those are minor modifications though, so don’t go expecting big changes this year.

We’ll have to wait and see how well this works out for Samsung. Rumor has it that the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ haven’t sold as well as the brand had hoped and repeating the same formula for the Galaxy Note 9 may not work out in its favor.

The main focus will likely be on internal changes such as a faster Snapdragon 845/Exynos 9810 processor, a 4000mAh battery, and 512GB of internal storage. Word on the street is that the S Pen will gain Bluetooth support and become a bit smarter in the process. This might be enough to win customers over as the stylus hasn’t gained exciting new features in years.

The fingerprint scanner is also said to be getting a new home. Instead of lying next to the rear camera array, the reader might live below the module, just like the Galaxy S9. We’ll find out for sure the moment August 9 rolls by.
