Not a day goes by without something new about the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 popping up. The latest round of leaks reveals the phone’s Coral Blue/Deep Sea Blue color variant, 4000mAh battery, enhanced S Pen, and brand new wireless charger.
Starting with the render above, the blue version of the Galaxy Note 9 looks just like the other models leaked recently including brown, black, lilac, and gray. There aren’t any big surprises here since everything from the repositioned fingerprint scanner to the Infinity Display has already come out in the open.
As for its battery capacity, Slashleaks has uploaded a document from the National Telecommunications Agency in Brazil which says the Galaxy Note 9 will sport a 4000mAh battery. Frequent tipster Roland Quandt also has some information to share about how this massive powerhouse can be charged.
As per the image he posted on Twitter, Samsung is releasing a new wireless accessory called the Wireless Charger Duo. According to the description, it can fuel either 2 Qi-compatible smartphones or 1 smartphone and 1 Galaxy Watch. The language is a bit suspect since it says “Charging the Two Phones” and “Charging the Phone and Galaxy Watch.”
Samsung vs Apple Wireless Chargers
If a product like this really does exist, it would be taking on Apple’s AirPower wireless charging pad. It was actually announced a year ago in September, but still hasn’t made its debut yet. The device is capable of charging an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods case at the same time.
Finally, XDA Developers has gotten hold of the Galaxy Tab S4’s firmware and performed a teardown of the AirCommand app (version 3). The changes discovered will probably be present in the Galaxy Note 9 as well. These include the ability to use the stylus as a remote camera shutter, music controller, and phone unlocker.
The Galaxy Note 9 is officially making its debut on August 9. Going by the date in the Coral Blue render above, it might just hit stores on August 24.
