Samsung Galaxy Note 6 to arrive in July with Android N onboard

Samsung Phone

Buzz is that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 handset is all set to be released in July this year, earlier than its annual routine. Moreover, the rumor in question is also claiming that the South Korean giant will have its Android N ROM ready by then, to equip its new phablet with the said software.

Since late last year, there was talk about Samsung having decided to unveil the Galaxy S7 earlier than usual. However, that did not turn out to be true, as the device was showcased by the firm at the MWC, just like on previous occasions.

The case with the Galaxy Note 6 could turn out to be the same. But you never know; may be the company really wanted to release the S7 early but could not do so due to some reason, and would not want the same to happen with the Note 6’s early launch.

The main point of concern is that Android N is only out right now in the form of a developer preview, which means Samsung cannot yet start modifying it with its TouchWiz goodies. It can only do that once the software is officially released by Google in its full form, and the timeline for that has been stated to be ‘this summer’ which means it could arrive in June, July or August.

If the Galaxy Note 6 is to really come with Android N pre-installed, then the final software must be out at the start of June itself to allow enough time for Samsung to build its stuff into it. Even this seems highly unlikely, but who knows what lies ahead.
