Amazon has bagged exclusivity on the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom, the newest hybrid device unveiled by the South Korean giant back in April. Neither its price nor its release date is available as of now, but the retail website is running a contest which will let you win the handset if you’re lucky.
Just like the S4 had its Zoom version, this device is spiritually the S5 Zoom but a drastic difference in components from those of the current Samsung flagship forced the company to go for a different name. The K Zoom runs the Android 4.4 KitKat OS and apart from the TouchWiz user interface, features a number of traits that complement its photography attributes.
These include Selfie Alarm for clicking high resolution self-portraits, Pro Suggest for offering optimized setting suggestions and Camera Studio 2.0 for acting as a hub for your media. It goes without saying that the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom features an advanced camera; a 20.7MP one to be exact. And it offers 10x optical zoom as well thanks to its retracting lens.
Here’s a neat look at the specs of the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom:
– Camera: 20.7MP with 10x zoom and xenon flash on rear, 2MP on front
– Display: 4.8 inch 720p HD Super AMOLED
– OS: Android 4.4 KitKat
– Processor: 1.3GHz quad core + 1.7GHz dual core
– Memory: 2GB RAM, 8GB storage (expandable)
– Weight: 200g
– Dimensions: 137.5mm x 70.8mm x 16.6 (20.2)mm
– Battery: 2430mAh
Now that its listing has arrived on Amazon.in, the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom seems only days away from its official launch in India. We’ll let you know when that happens.
