Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy J7 Duo after weeks of leaks threatened to reveal just about every aspect of the phone. The handset is set to hit shelves starting from April 12 priced at Rs 16990 in black and gold color options.
Strangely enough, even though there was quite a bit of official evidence which suggested that the Galaxy J7 Duo would come with Bixby support, there’s no mention of the virtual assistant in Samsung’s press release. The brand has instead chosen to focus on the fact that the device is the first J series phone to have a dual-camera setup at its back.
The module consists of a 13MP + 5MP lens. Samsung has blessed it with an aperture of f/1.9, claiming that this allows the phone to capture better photos in low-light conditions. Having 2 sensors handy means that users can utilize the brand’s Live Focus and Background Blur Shape tools.
Live Focus lets people blur out the background before or after a shot has been clicked, while Background Blur Shape lets them add soft lighting effects in different shapes. As for the Galaxy J7 Duo’s 8MP selfie camera, it also comes with an aperture of f/1.9 for brighter images in challenging environments.
