Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G now available in India for Rs 11100

The much-delayed Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G has finally been rolled out in India with an affordable price tag of Rs 11100. The handset was supposed to be released back in March but its launch was postponed for unknown reasons. With the arrival of this phone, the South Korean giant can now lay claim to over 14 4G-enabled handsets in the country.

The features of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime 4G are nearly the same as its 3G variant, launched in September of last year. It has a 5-inch PLS TFT qHD (540 x 960 pixels) screen and runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop-based TouchWiz UI. It packs a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM under the hood, along with a 2600mAh battery that has enough power for 14 hours of talk time.

The dual-SIM Galaxy Grand Prime supports Band 3 and Band 40, the 4G LTE networks available in India right now. It has an 8MP main snapper with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. Selfie-lovers will be happy to hear the latter has an 85-degree wide-angle lens to fit more people into a picture. The handset has 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD.
