The Samsung Galaxy Express LTE price in UK has been pegged at £314.39. The device found itself on AT&T’s ultra-fast network in November last year, and while that one came with ICS, a rehashed version of the phone was launched towards the end of January this year.
The gadget falls squarely in the mid-range segment with its 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus display and Android Jelly Bean (version 4.1) platform. As expected AT&T branding is absent, which means the manufacturer’s logo is now stamped towards the top of the front panel. In fact, the handset looks a lot like the GS3, in terms of its styling and form factor.
For those who like their photography, a 5MP primary snapper has been embedded onto the back panel and it comes with an LED flash for enhanced images when light is hard to find. On the front is a 1.3MP webcam for video chatting and the like over 4G LTE or 3G networks. Then there is Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC connectivity options.
These are specs that the casual smartphone user might like, but what about the enthusiast? And what makes the device tick? Well, there is a 1.2GHz dual core processor under the hood which ensures operations are run as they should. Backing this power is 1GB of RAM, a decent spec by any measure.
In terms of on-board memory, users can expect 8GB. But should they find this too little to accommodate all their content and data, a microSD card slot provides an avenue for expansion by as much as 32GB. Finally, a 2,000mAh Li-ion battery has been included and is expected to deliver about 11.5 hours of talk time on 3G networks.
Unwired View is reporting that UK customers will be restricted for choice, since the Samsung Galaxy Express LTE is only available in white. Delivery is estimated to take about 2 days at the maximum.
