With LTE technology on a rise in the U.S., the MetroPCS Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G smartphone is soon to surf on this particular network as well. The handset is said to be part of the company’s tax and regulatory-fee service plans that start at $50 per month.
Powered by a 1GHz processor, the phone is loaded with all the features Android Gingerbread has to offer. It flaunts a 3MP camera with LED flash on its rear for capturing images and visuals as well as a 1.3MP front-facing lens for video calling over the touchscreen that stretches up to 3.5 inches diagonally. To complement its low resolution snapper is the pre-loaded Google Talk application that’s equipped with face-to-face chat capabilities. In addition to these, users will also have access to more than 300,000 free as well as paid applications, games and tools, hosted on the Android Market.

For entertainment needs, the $60 subscription comes with options of either the Rhapsody Unlimited Music or MetroStudio services along with unlimited talk time, text messages and web browsing data. The first selection gives users access to over 12 millions songs from the Rhapsody music library, whilst subscribing for the latter enables more features like Video On Demand, which provides TV shows, news, sports and other such entertainment channels.
The Galaxy Attain 4G price tag reads at $199 after a $50 mail-in rebate and it will be available in the coming weeks for a limited time only through MetroPCS stores and online.
