Pile-up alert – the dual SIM market in India recently welcomed the Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos Android smartphone. We’re clearly seeing a healthy appetite for dual SIM handsets in this particular region considering that a host of other manufacturers including Idea, Micromax and Intex were spotted introducing such devices here just this month.
This successor to the Galaxy Ace handles two GSM SIM cards with the assistance of a Smart Dual SIM application. Upon being activated, the utility forwards calls from the card being used to the one that’s not being employed. This is meant to ensure that no incoming calls are missed. Additionally, there is the convenience of multitasking, such as web browsing while accepting calls, with the aforesaid feature.
“Keeping up with Galaxy Ace’s reputation of premium performance with advanced features, the Galaxy Ace Duos is conceptualized to enable the users to create an optimum work life balance. Based on the Android Gingerbread platform, the Galaxy Ace Duos, allows users to manage their work and personal calls with the Smart Dual SIM while availing the best pricing plans. Besides getting flexibility, the users also enjoy more expansive coverage especially when traveling. With the launch of the Galaxy Ace Duos, we have strengthened our innovative portfolio of Smart Dual SIM category,” expressed Ranjit Yadav, Country Head, Samsung Mobile & IT.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos works on Gingerbread and embeds an 832MHz chip. Spread across its front panel is an 8.9cm HVGA touchscreen and a 5MP camera sits on the rear. The company has infused this Galaxy member with 3GB internal memory and the hoarding room can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. On the connectivity angle, users can look forward to HSDPA 7.2Mbps and Wi-Fi b/g/n. The 1,300mAh battery steaming away under the hood should render roughly 6.5 hours of talk time on 3G.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos price in India is Rs. 15,090.
