There’s a new Samsung smartphone out on the block in the form of the Galaxy A9 Pro which boasts of a 5000mAh battery. This device comes as an upgrade to the recently launched A9 (2016) model, and has its price set roughly at 3499 Yuan, which translates to Rs 35890 or $540.
To give you a better idea about what’s new in the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro, let us compare it with the non-Pro version mentioned above. The new handset grabs a 5000mAh battery, as opposed to the already impressive 4000mAh power pack of the earlier device.
Also, you’ll find 4GB worth of RAM inside this Samsung device instead of 3GB, aside from 32GB of onboard storage. While the chipset remains the same 1.8GHz octa core Snapdragon 652 unit, the camera upgrades itself from a 13MP snapper to a 16MP one. The front camera on the other hand is still an 8MP unit.
A neat look at the specs of the new Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro:
– Display: 6-inch Super AMOLED, 1080p full HD resolution
– OS: Android 6.0 Marshmallow
– CPU: 64-bit octa core Snapdragon 652
– GPU: Adreno 510
– Memory: 4GB RAM, 32GB storage (128GB expandability)
– Cameras: 16MP rear, 8MP front
– Battery: 5000mAh
Just like its predecessor, the Galaxy A9 Pro ships with a fingerprint scanner that’s embedded in its home button. This phone has been revealed to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box, which is great news considering a number of the company’s handsets are awaiting their OTA updates.
