We’ve been hearing a lot on the Galaxy A7 the past couple of days and the Samsung Galaxy A5 also wants to be in the limelight. The latter device recently popped up on a Kazakhstan carrier’s website where specs, price and a possible launch timeframe have been disclosed.
Almost everything about the Samsung Galaxy A5 is already known thanks to China’s TENNA certification website. Well, the price is still been a mystery and GSMArena is reporting that the phone won’t come cheap. It’s tagged at KZT 99990 which amounts to approximately $552 after conversion.
That’s way higher than the estimated $400 to $450 we’ve heard before and certainly too much for a mid-range handset. Hi-tech.mail.ru has managed to grab screenshots of the listing and also a good amount of information on the handset. The new details are no different than what we already know. The Galaxy A5 will be a 5-inch phone with a 720p HD Super AMOLED display.
It will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad core processor that’s confirmed as the 64-bit Snapdragon 410 and it’ll pack an entire gigabyte of RAM. Apart from these components, there’s a 5MP front camera, a 12MP rear snapper and dual SIM support. The listing also highlights the existence of a microSD card slot and NFC connectivity.
