A couple of days back we reported that the Samsung Ativ Book 9 Plus could be pre-ordered in the US and now, the company has gone ahead and made the slate official along with the Ativ Tab 3. And while there no concrete launch information apart form a listing by retailer B&H Photo-Video, the presser has noted that the laptop will go on sale starting August 18, while the Windows tablet will hit availability status on September 1.
Let’s quickly run through the specifications of both devices. The Ativ Book 9 Plus was announced back in July along with the Lite variant that’s already on sale. The device packs a 13.3-inch QHD+ (3200 x 1800 pixels) LED display featuring SuperBright technology and 10-point touch input. Buyers will also have a 720p HD webcam, 128GB SSD storage and up to 7.5 hours of battery life.
Coming to the Ativ Tab 3, the slate dons a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768p SuperBright Plus LED touchscreen with S Pen support. Powering it up is an Atom Z2760 CPU, while memory needs are taken care of by 2GB RAM and 64GB flash storage. This piece of hardware also delivers approximately 7 hours of usage on a single charge. The common features shared by both devices is that they run on Windows 8 and have the company’s SideSync tool pre-loaded which allows users to conveniently share content between a PC and smartphone.
The Ativ Tab 3 will be up for purchase at $699.99 starting next month, while the Ativ Book 9 Plus is already up for pre-order at $1,399.99 with in-store availability pegged for August 18.
