The Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite release date has been announced for the US along with price details, marking the arrival of the new laptop range. To make the device a more alluring pick against the Haswell powered Plus variant, Samsung is offering the notebook at a low price along with enhanced features such as SideSync and ChatON amongst others.
The Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite is designed with a premium form factor that flaunts a stylish appearance. It comes in choices of ash black or marble white colors. Weighing 3.48 pounds, the notebook is high on portability and it’s quite slim as well, measuring 12.76 x 8.82 x 0.69 inches in dimensions. Under the lid, the company has fitted a 13.3-inch LED display that proffers 1366 x 768p resolution and 250 nits of brightness.
Additionally, the Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite features a 10-point touch input to make the most of the Windows 8 platform. To power it up, an unknown processor (possibly from AMD) with quad cores has been implemented along with Radeon graphics and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. For storage, there’s a 128GB SSD.
With 5.5 hours of estimated battery like, the Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite may not be in the same league as top Ultrabooks. On the bright side, it does come with a full set of ports and connectivity options such as mini VGA, microHDMI, USB2.0 as well as 3.0 and a 3-in-1 card reader.
The Samsung Ativ Book 9 Lite will be released in the country on July 28. It will be available for a starting price of $799.99. Pre-orders for the laptop have already commenced.
