Reliance Digital has launched yet entry to its series of handsets in the form of the new Lyf Water 5, this time through online retailer Amazon. Like the other phones which came before it, the device supports 4G connectivity and is aimed at cost-conscious shoppers.
The Lyf Water 5 offers a pretty standard set of specs for the affordable market segment. Its metal frame encloses a 5-inch 720p IPS screen which has been layered with Asahi Dragontrail glass for protection against scratches. It’s been equipped with a 2920mAh battery which Reliance promises can last for 15 hours of 4G talk time and 290 hours of standby time.
The VoLTE-ready Lyf phone further offers a 13MP primary camera for a user’s photography requirements. The module is accompanied by LED flash, 6x digital zoom and autofocus skills. Selfies and video calls are taken care through a 5MP front-facing snapper. Under the hood, the phone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Furthermore, the Water 5 gets things done with the help of a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor that is aided along in its tasks by 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 306 GPU. It should be noted that the smartphone ships with a hybrid dual-SIM setup consisting of a micro-SIM and nano-SIM. One slot supports 4G VoLTE and the other 2G.
