Red HTC One launched exclusively on Sprint

When the HTC One made its debut, there was quite of a bit of confusion on whether it would come in red or not. Well, back in June, the device drenched in this shade was launched through Phones4U in the UK and now Sprint has earned exclusivity for this particular variant in the US. What’s worth mentioning is that the new color option doesn’t come at a different price, so you’ll still have to shell out the same $199.99 down payment and sign a new 2-year contract.

The HTC One is by far one of the best Android smartphones we’ve seen this year, but yet, it isn’t entirely perfect. The device has a beautiful industrial design. The form factor is made from metal and it features a Zero gap construction. The phone is also quite the entertainer. It has a 4.7-inch SLCD 3 FHD touchscreen and dual front-facing Boom Sound stereo speakers. On the rear sits the UltraPixel camera which touts enhanced low-light imagery. The HTC One is powered by the Android Jelly Bean platform with Sense 5 and BlinkFeed onboard.

On the technical side, a quad core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor delivers the steam. For memory, there are 32GB and 64GB storage options as well as 2GB of RAM. The device measures 137.4mm x 68.2mm x 9.3mm and it weighs 143 grams. Check out our review for more in-depth details on the HTC One.

So who plans on getting the glamor red edition? If all 3 shades don’t match your style, you could get the handset in 24ct gold for £1,895. Or even better, Sprint is running a promotional offer where purchasing each unit gets you a second HTC One for free.
