Raspberry Pi’s new computer is smaller than your business card, costs just $5

The gist of all this is simple; you can now buy a computer at just $5. Yes, the new Raspberry Pi Zero costs that much, and has such a small profile that it’ll even put your keychain to shame.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has over the years given us plenty of extremely cheap computing options that have been taken advantage of by millions from around the globe. All you need is a basic display and a keyboard-mouse arrangement, and you’re ready to go with these beauties.

The new Zero which costs a ridiculous $5 comes equipped with a Broadcom BCM2835 (1GHz ARM11 core) processor. This assembly has been revealed to be 40 percent faster than the one on the first ever Pi. It is accompanied on the board by 512MB worth of RAM and a microSD card slot for storage.

The mini-HDMI socket on the Raspberry Pi Zero is able to provide an output of 1080p full HD at 60 frames per second.
