The pureSilicon Kage K1 USB flash drive and Kage K1 SATA SSD have recently been revealed and are now up for pre-order on the company’s official website. These media storage devices are integrated with various features to proffer speed and easy utility.
The Kage K1 USB flash drive boasting of a sleek 4.5mm chassis, arrives in 60GB, 90GB, 120GB, 180GB and 240GB capacities for hoarding and transferring content. Featuring a 3.0 USB interface, it sports a thin 76.75mm x 22mm x 4.5mm form factor. Furthermore, the drive offers maximum read and write speeds of 400MB per second and 340MB per second, in that order. It also claims to proffer 2-4x performance when compared to other flash drives as this pureSilicon product features a USB-attached SCSI protocol.

The Kage K1 SATA SSD is available in 100GB, 200GB and 400GB variants to cater to the requirements of prospective users. It comes complete with a 100.2mm x 69.8mm x 9.5mm body. The SATA 6Gb per second interface delivers maximum read and write speeds of 540MB per second and 520MB per second, respectively. The SSD employs eMLC NAND flash memory and features VoltStream technology which take cares of the power quality by deploying solid-state ceramic capacitors during a power failure.
The pureSilicon Kage K1 USB flash drive and Kage K1 SATA SSD are expected to begin shipping by late Q1 this year. The pureSilicon drive’s 60GB, 90GB, 120GB, 180GB and 240GB versions are individually priced at $230, $300, $375, $500 and $630, correspondingly. The 100GB, 200GB and 400GB SATA SSDs can be obtained for $975, $1,515 and $2,575, respectively.
