Google has launched its Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X smartphones in select markets, but they are still to be announced for India officially. However, that hasn’t stopped the company’s store page from listing the two devices prematurely, along with their prices.
The high-end Nexus 6P which is made by Huawei will be sold in the country at Rs 39999 (32GB), Rs 42999 (64GB) or Rs 47999 (128GB). The LG-made Nexus 5X on the other hand will be made available here in exchange of Rs 31900 (16GB) or Rs 35900 (32GB).
While the base prices are already showing up in the suggestion sections of the Indian Google Store, the retail values of the other variants were found to be lurking in the HTML source of the website by TechPP.
The new Nexus handsets are of course the first in the world to run the final version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. They feature fingerprint scanners on their rear surfaces, while they come equipped with quite advanced 12.3MP rear cameras as well.
A look at the specs of the new Nexus 6P:
– Display: 5.7-inch AMOLED, 1440 x 2560 pixels Quad HD
– OS: Android 6.0 Marshmallow
– Processor: Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (64-bit)
– GPU: Adreno 430
– Memory: 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB storage
– Cameras: 12.3MP rear, 8MP front
– Battery: 3450mAh
– Dimensions: 159.3 x 77.8 x 7.3mm
– Weight: 178gms
They are both targeted towards different audiences. The 6P model is for those who desire large displays and top of the line specs, whereas the 5X model is for those who don’t mind medium-sized displays and slightly watered down specs.
The new Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X are available on pre-order in several countries right now, but there’s no word on when they will be released in India.
