These days, mobile TV phones have become all the rage, especially in Japan due to amazing connectivity. Now, here is yet another such phone from Panasonic which is known as the VIERA 920P.
In fact, the name Viera might sound familiar to some, as it is nothing but Panasonic’s line of LCDs and plasma displays that are hugely popular.
The new Panasonic VIERA mobile TV phone has a clamshell form factor which can be opened in two ways. This means that you can either open the 920P to use phone-related capabilities or you could also use it as a mobile TV.
The VIERA 920P handset is embedded with Digital Multimedia Broadcasting feature and this allows for speedy streaming of video content onto the phone. The handset works on GSM and W-CDMA networks.
The Panasonic VIERA 920P mobile TV phone measures just 106x49x18mm, when closed and weighs around 135grams. Its design has been made in such a way so as to integrate the biggest screen possible.
Panasonic’s latest mobile TV offering sports an internal display of 3-inches which has a 480×854 pixel resolution. The phone also has an external 0.77-inch, 96×25 pixel display for viewing phone-related information such as missed calls.
The Panasonic VIERA 920P handset has a 5.1 megapixel CMOS camera with video recording and auto focus, as well as a secondary camera for video calls.
Other features of the VIERA 920P mobile TV phone include Bluetooth 2.09 with EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), email, Internet browsing, 200 minutes of talk-time, up to 340 hours of stand-by on GSM networks and up to 580 hours of stand by on W-CDMA networks.
The new Panasonic VIERA 920P mobile TV phone is available in Japan as of now via Softbank. However, as of now, there are no clear details on the price of this feature-packed phone.
