The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 and Lumix DMC-ZS15 cameras will be arriving to proffer 20x and 16x optical zoom options, respectively. The former will hit shelves drenched in white, silver, black or red, while the latter should come draped in black and silver shades.
The Lumix DMC-ZS20 sports a 24mm ultra-wide angle Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens and brings full 1,920 x 1,080p HD video recording capabilities at 60fps. Integrated with a 14.1MP MOS sensor and fitted with a Venus Engine, the snapper is said to be capable of high speed and high sensitivity recording. Additionally, it features built-in GPS to let users know where the images were captured. These can later be shared on internet maps to reveal travel stores and more. Maps data is required to be installed onto the gadget through the bundled DVD.
“Panasonic has long been the leader in developing compact digital cameras with long zooms and wide-angle lenses and with the introduction of the Lumix ZS20, we continue to be in the forefront with an extremely versatile digital camera that meets the needs of all different types of photographers,” shares David Briganti, Senior Product Manager, Imaging, Panasonic Consumer Marketing Company of North America.
Other functions spell out to be 10fps high speed burst shooting in full resolution along with a Light Speed AF, a 3-inch Smart Touch LCD screen and a stereo zoom microphone with noise cancelling features to block out ambient sounds. Just like its counterpart, the Lumix DMC-ZS15 dons a 24mm ultra-wide angle Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens. Besides the 16x optical zoom, it also comes with 32x intelligent zoom capabilities. This 12.1MP camera is integrated with a monaural microphone, a 3-inch Intelligent LCD and HD video recording.
