The camera flashes with its red glossy paint and stylized accessories. The camera also shows off its matching grip belt that gives a firm grip over the device. The Leica lenses boast about its 10X optical zoom and full HD video recording capabilities. The display is of 2.7 inches and the camera packs in an additional battery and an 8GB SDHC card, so that the Olympics can be captured efficiently and optimally on the camera.
Measuring 52 x 110 x 87 mm, the Panasonic camera is as light as 290 g and its Optical Image Stabilizer ensures that there in no blur effect to the image. The camera has the ability to record approximately 90 minutes of HD video on a 4 GB SDHC memory card and attaches a price tag of 128,000 Yen. Only 150 pieces of the red HDC-SD8K have been manufactured as of now.
