Palm Inc. has introduced its first low-cost, consumer-end mobile phone called the Palm Centro. The Palm Centro smart device offers a host of great features. The company also claims it to be the smallest and lightest Palm phone till date. This phone will be available exclusively with a two-year service agreement from mobile carrier Sprint-Nextel.
The Palm Centro smart device offers all the usual features that allow users to manage email, keep track of schedules, media player, full color touch screen, detailed Contacts list and high-speed 3G data access. Its QWERTY keyboard only makes typing out messages and long emails easier.

Personal and Corporate Email – New users to the smartphone category now have an easy mobile email solution using Microsoft Direct Push Technology for delivery of Outlook email as well as personal email, such as Gmail, AOL and Yahoo.
IM with AIM, MSN, or Yahoo! – Compose messages quickly and easily with a full QWERTY keyboard. Instant message your buddy list with direct access to Yahoo, Windows Live Messenger or AOL’s AIM service.

Available on the Sprint network, Sprint customers will also be able to browse restaurant reviews on Yelp, get directions from Google Maps, view YouTube videos and use the Sprint Instant Messaging service.
