Origin PC has come out with the Eon 13-S which has received official recognition in the US and has even been affixed with a price that’s well above the $1K mark. Well, the price does include some pretty beefy hardware which comes from the Intel Haswell and Nvidia Kepler lineups to deliver performance and portability in a single package. The laptop is mainly designed for gaming, but it has been noted that this Origin PC Eon variant would make an ideal companion for artists, professionals and enthusiasts as well.
The Eon 13-S is said to be fully customizable. That means, you’ll be able to configure the storage, processor, system memory, graphics and a lot more based on preference. As the name suggests, the laptop features a 13-inch (13.3-inch to be precise) IPS LED-backlit matte display which delivers visuals at up to 1920 x 1080p resolution. At 4.4 pounds, the notebook is pretty portable and the company asserts that it can deliver up to 5 hours of activity by leveraging the Optimus technology from Nvidia with the 6-cell 62.16WH Li-ion battery pack.
The Eon 13-S can be configured with a Core i7 4700MQ processor carrying a base clock speed of 2.40GHz up to an Extreme Core i7 4930MX CPU with a TurboBoost frequency of 3.9GHz. Accompanying the chip is a single 2GB GeForce GT 765M GPU and memory options of 4GB, 8GB and 16GB of RAM. The machine also comes with storage choices of up to 1TB HDD space as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 and various other connectivity features along with dual mSATA bays.
The 13-S can be purchased through the company’s website starting at $1,418 and the price can go well beyond $2,000 based on configuration.
