Oppo’s come out with yet another selfie-centric offering in the form of the A57 in its native home base of China. The new handset comes across as a standard mid-ranger with a CNY 1599 (roughly $231 or Rs 16000) price tag to match.
The Oppo A57 looks very similar to the brand’s F1 series, right down to the all-metal body and 2.5D glass. It’s even being sold in the same gold and rose gold color options. Moreover, the company has continued its practice of placing a 16MP camera on the phone’s front while equipping the back with a lower-resolution 13MP one.
The former’s been blessed with 1.12nm pixels and f/2.0 aperture and the latter gets the benefit of LED flash, an aperture of f/2.2, and PDAF. As for its other features, the Oppo smartphone comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded within its home button and a 2900mAh battery.
An octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor clocked in at 1.4GHz powers the A57, assisted in its endeavors by an Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. Users can take advantage of 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.
