Oppo’s new affordable A37 has made its way to India, fresh off its China launch just over a week ago. The brand is planning to put the handset up for sale on July 1 via offline retailers across the country.
The Oppo A37 looks similar to the brand’s own F1 Plus, right down to its sleek unibody construction and thin profile. The same can’t be said for its internal components, with the brand blessing it with decidedly mid-range specs for its budget-friendly Rs 11990 cost.
Oppo claims that the phone can capture brighter selfies thanks to its extra-large 1.4μm pixels and 1/4-inch sensor. The combination supposedly allows more light to enter the 5MP front-facing snapper, thanks to which users can capture natural-looking shots even in the face of low-light conditions. The module also comes with a screen flash option just in case the surroundings are too dark.

The Chinese version of the A37 notably sports a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor for its daily needs, whereas the Indian version houses a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC. Everything else appears to be the same, from its 2630mAh battery to its 5-inch 720 IPS TFT screen.
