The Oppo Neo 7 has been officially announced by the company, the latest addition to the brand’s series of affordable smartphones. Unfortunately, there aren’t any price or availability details about the handset out yet.
It looks like there will be 3 versions of the Oppo Neo 7 out in the market. The listing on the company’s page declares there’s going to be an international, US and Indian variant, differentiated by the bands they support. Moving on to its specs, the handset sports a 5-inch TFT qHD (540 x 960p) display and a reflective glass back.
An 8MP camera can be found on the rear surface of the Neo 7, accompanied by an aperture of f/2.0 and LED flash. Oppo has granted the shooter an UltraHD feature which allows it to click 6 photos one after another and interpolate them into a single image with a resolution of 24MP. There’s also a 5MP front-facing lens with screen flash on board.
The Oppo device’s daily processes are conducted through a non-removable 2420mAh battery, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor and Adreno 306 GPU. It comes with the company’s own Color OS 2.1, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It contains 1GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM, expandable via a microSD card slot.
